Baby carrier for wheelchair

Posted 18 June 2015 in Case studies

Emma uses a wheelchair and very much wanted to be able to carry her daughter Charlotte with her as she went round the house and the garden or to the local park.

David Tween, a volunteer with Remap Southampton, used a baby seat normally mounted on a bicycle and fitted it to the wheelchair in way that makes it easily removable.

Emma says, ‘David was spectacular. He really got involved in what we needed and took a lot of trouble to come up with different ideas and try them out. I would hate not to be able to have Charlotte close to me all the time.’
