What will I get out of Remap?
‘It’s a wonderful feeling, watching someone’s pleasure when they find they can do something they couldn’t before – it makes me so proud.’
Alan Jeffs of the Cambridge panel, a former technician in the Welding Institute’s technical department.
As a Remap volunteer you will become a valuable and valued member of a group of almost 1000 people prepared to give up some of their time and share their talents to help people with disabilities in their local community.
As a volunteer you will:
- join a group of like-minded people and expand your circle of friends
- have the pleasure of helping people achieve things
- enjoy indulging your love of a challenge
- keep your hard-won skills fresh, alive and relevant
