At Remap we recognise that many of the people we help are at particular risk from coronavirus. In addition, our free service is provided by a network of volunteers, many of whom are retired and at additional risk themselves.

Our priority is to keep everyone safe so we are avoiding face to face contact where possible. You can find our policy statement here. As ever, please contact your nearest Remap group for their advice.

Keep well and stay safe!

Xbox controller stroke

Modified Xbox controllerRon has a standard Xbox controller which needs two hands to operate it, but following a stroke he can only use his right hand and it looked like his gaming days were over. However, Mike Jennings, a volunteer with Remap Essex Central, has been able to help him by modifying the controller for single hand use. The controller how has an extension board with re-positioned controls arranged to suit Ron’s right hand. He has been encouraged to exercise his remaining hand-eye coordination so this isn’t just a fun way of passing the time!
