Vice Chair – Sarah Shaw
Sarah Shaw has a broad ranging career spanning 25+ years in owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurship, corporate, government and charity sectors and extensive operational senior management; she was awarded the Institute of Directors Business Woman of the Year Award in 2003. Sarah is a dynamic leader and strategist, passionate about empowering change and harnessing the power of global companies to improve our world for generations to come.
As the Lead, Wellbeing 500, Sarah is directing this engaging initiative for RoundGlass, positioned as the worldwide leader in holistic wellness. The Wellbeing 500 lists and ranks global companies and personalities, driving better corporate social responsibility and environmental, social and governance practices for a better future for all. As well as being Vice Chair for Remap, Sarah is also Vice Chair of Trustees for the charity Carers’ Resource, a Yorkshire-based regional charity which provides information, advice and support to carers, to the people they care for and to the professionals who work with them.
Previously, Sarah was a Project Director at UNESCO where she worked directly with the UK central government’s business department on high-profile international science and innovation projects aimed at tackling the complex global challenges of our age. Prior to this, Sarah was the Communications Director for WISE, a campaign working collaboratively with businesses to encourage better female engagement within the fields of science, technology, engineering and maths through education and careers.
