We are still here and able to provide custom-made equipment free of charge.

Volunteering roles – Occupational Therapists/Health Professionals

What will I be doing?

Use your similar skills to support a vital charity that helps people with disabilities to live fuller and more independent lives. You will do this by providing advice to our ingenious volunteers who design and custom make pieces of equipment for disabled people. You will also help assess the needs of those people who self-refer. We only help where no existing product is commercially available. You will be joining a local group of equipment makers and others who all want to improve the lives of disabled people.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for Occupational Therapists or similar health professionals. You will be committed to finding creative practical solutions to enable people with disabilities to achieve the quality of life. You will have a knowledge of existing commercially available equipment as the charity only makes bespoke equipment that is not currently available.

Practical considerations

You will need to work independently from home, keep in touch with key members of the local group and/or attend branch meetings. Any out-of-pocket expenses will be paid.

If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer, please fill in the form below and we will be in touch.
