Volunteering roles – Treasurer/Secretary
What will I be doing?
Using your financial skills, you will provide support to a valuable local branch whose volunteers design and make pieces of equipment for disabled people. The role involves paying expenses to volunteers, preparing monthly and annual accounts and it may involve occasional funding applications(if there is no fundraiser in the branch).
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a conscientious person with practical finance/administration skills, who can work confidentially and carefully to support our important work. This does not require professional bookkeeping skills, but you should be comfortable with managing payments and online banking transactions.
Basic computer skills are essential for this role, and you will need to be able to work independently from home with the support of others. Any out-of-pocket expenses will be paid, and you will need to attend regular group meetings.
